Scriptwriting Sample | “Uncharted 5”

A short gameplay script developed while under the tutelage of Adam Miller.  The task given was to demonstrate an excerpt of dialogue between two characters while in an ongoing mission. Choosing to imagine a sequel to one of my favourite franchises, Uncharted, I sought in to authentically capture the voices of beloved characters Chloe and Sully. In this short excerpt, our adventurers find themselves deep inside a rainforest in mainland China. On the hunt for an ancient artefact, they seek the secret to reaching and ascending Kunlun, the mythical mountain via which one may traverse to the Palace of Heaven. Tensions run high as Chloe and Sully struggle to find equilibrium in their new dynamic with Nate no longer leading the team. Chloe claims this mission is just another treasure hunt, but conceals another, far more personal motive behind why she desperately wants to succeed in her search for this hallowed, healing place… What’s more, our intrepid heroes soon find they are not the only ones seeking this legendary location…
